"Therefore, as you recieved Christ Jesus the Lord, so walk in him, rooted and built up in him and established in the faith, just as you were taught, abounding in thanksgiving." Colossians 2:6
"And I will lead the blind in a way that they do not know,in paths that they have not known I will guide them.I will turn the darkness before them into light, the rough places into level ground. These are the things I do, and I do not forsake them." Isaiah 42:16
About Me: Mommie
I am "Mommie" to 11 children , "Dear Wife" to one wonderful husband and "Grandmommie" to 6, almost 7 grandchildren. It seems like yesterday that I was a little girl ( the middle of five children) with my sweet Mommie and Daddy. I have been so blessed of the Lord and He has given me my heart's desire to have many children in our home, by birth and by adoption. Also I am proud foster parent with Bethany Christian Services, having 40 plus babies in our home since 1987. My children range from 34-10 years of age. At the present only six children and one adult son live at home. I began home schooling my children in 1985. Only eight more years to go!!! I will be 64 years old when my youngest graduates! That is so funny, I think?
The Lord saved me and brought me into His kingdom when I was 19 years old through the ministry of Campus Crusade For Christ at Virginia Tech. It was there that I met my husband, David. He is all I could have ever hoped for, for he is always growing in the Lord and striving to please Him every day of his life. He has read a zillion books and is now memorizing several books of the Bible. He is a model to others and especially me. I have begun to memorize I John. This is a big task for me because I have a terrible memory but with God's help, even this is possible. The main thing I can say about my life is that God is Faithful! Even though I am weak and sinful, He continues to love me and keep me. I depend on His righteousness and His precious Word. I am encouraged daily by my saved children and my dear church family. I am a truly blessed Mommie!
